Yugadi

The lunar new year of the Deccan, marking the first day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra and, by tradition, the day Brahma began creation. It is observed with the ritual eating of Ugadi pachadi combining six tastes and the reading of the year's Panchanga Sravanam.
