Vasavi Devi Atmaarpana

Marks the self-immolation of Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari, the deified Arya Vysya maiden who entered fire rather than submit to a king. Kept as the atmaarpana (self-offering) day, distinct from her jayanti; chiefly observed by the Telugu Arya Vysya community.
