Sri Ganga Janma

Celebrates the birth or appearance of the river goddess Ganga, observed on Saptami of Vaishakha shukla paksha. Devotees bathe in the Ganga and perform worship of the river, distinct from Ganga Dussehra which marks her descent to earth.
