Rushi Panchami

A vrat observed on the fifth day of the bright fortnight of Bhadrapada, chiefly by women, honouring the seven sages (Sapta Rishi). It is kept as a rite of purification and expiation, with bathing, a fast of uncultivated food, and worship of the rishis.
