Panguni Uttiram

Observed when the Uttara Phalguni nakshatra falls on the full moon of the Tamil month Panguni, commemorating the divine marriages of Murugan and Deivanai, Shiva and Parvati, and Rama and Sita. Devotees undertake kavadi, padayatra and temple weddings, especially at Murugan shrines such as Palani and Thiruthani.
