Naag Pancham (Gujarat)

The Gujarati observance of serpent worship, kept on the Krishna Paksha Panchami of Shravana rather than the Shukla Paksha date followed in most of India, because the Gujarati calendar is purnimanta-reckoned in this context. Snake images and idols are worshipped with milk and offerings for protection from snakebite.
