Meenakshi Sudereswara Kalyanam

The celestial wedding of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar, enacted at the Madurai Meenakshi temple as the centrepiece of the Chithirai festival. It draws enormous crowds and is followed by the Ther procession and Kallazhagar's descent into the Vaigai.
