Kali Puja

The night worship of the goddess Kali on the Amavasya of Kartika, celebrated most prominently in Bengal, Assam and Odisha on the same night as Lakshmi Puja Diwali elsewhere. Rites are performed at midnight with offerings of hibiscus, sweets and lamps.
