Jyestha Gowri Puja

A three-day worship of the goddess Gauri (Mahalakshmi) during Bhadrapada, when the elder and younger Gauri are invited home, worshipped and ceremonially sent off. It falls alongside Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and is kept chiefly by married women in Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka.
