Holika Dahan

The bonfire lit on Phalguna Purnima night recalling the burning of the demoness Holika while the Vishnu-devotee Prahlada survived unharmed. Its timing is fixed to fall in Pradosh with the Purnima current and outside Bhadra, and Holi with colours follows the next day.
