Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti

The birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, who founded the Khalsa and installed the Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal Guru. Gurdwaras hold akhand path, kirtan and nagar kirtan processions, and the day is dated by the Nanakshahi or traditional lunar reckoning depending on the tradition followed.
