Ganesh Chaturthi

The birth festival of Ganesha on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, when clay images are installed, worshipped for one to eleven days and then immersed in water. It is the largest public festival in Maharashtra and Goa and is widely observed in the Deccan and Gujarat.
