Annakot

The day after Diwali on which a mountain of food is offered to Krishna in commemoration of his lifting Govardhan hill to shelter the cowherds from Indra's storm. Temples, especially Pushtimarg and Swaminarayan ones, arrange elaborate food displays before the deity.
