Andal Jayanti

The birth anniversary of Andal, the only woman among the twelve Alvar saints and author of the Tiruppavai and Nachiyar Tirumozhi. It is celebrated on Pooram nakshatra in the Tamil month of Aadi, chiefly at Srivilliputhur and other Sri Vaishnava temples.
